06/15 Dinner: First Try Baked Fish

I hadn't tried making fish yet so I thought I would today. After I looked online for a couple recipes I just kind of improvised them on my own and came up with this meal. It's pretty simple, which is one of the reasons I did it.

Basically it's just fish (I'm not sure what kind of fish, but it's like 80 calories) and I just added some black pepper, melted butter, lemon, and some garlic pepper to the top. I don't even know if that's a normal combination or a good one but I liked it! I then made the asparagus, which I love, and broccoli, which I also love, and I think it made an okay combination.

One of the things I realized was that oven roasted cherry tomatoes with black pepper are amazing. I'm in love with them, literally. I was surprised at how much I like them. I'm not even a huge fan of cherry tomatoes, although I have lately been developing more of a taste for them, but wow they were good. I wish I had added more to the fish but when I was putting them on I was literally saying to myself, "what am i doing..." so I just stopped with two.

Also, I realized that you can eat a lot of fish for very low calories. I'm surprised actually at how low-calorie this meal was. I'm probably going to have to eat something else before I work out to have enough energy.

But all in all this dinner was great and I'm proud of it, especially because I seasoned the fish myself which I usually don't really know how to do. I know this post makes me sound like a newb but that's okay because you have to start somewhere, right?

[edit: I made the same dinner on 6/16 but changed it up a little, here's a pic]
